Description: Any self-respecting wine connoisseur would be thrilled to have this enormous wall mounted wooden wine rack / pupitre proudly on display in their kitchen or cellar. The rack holds 180 bottles, making it equally ideal for a restaurant setting. It is stamped'M&C' to the top left corner, possibly for Moet & Chandon. In traditional Champagne making, a'pupitre' is a wooden rack in which champagne bottles are placed upside down to undergo the remuage (or riddling) process, during which the bottles are slowly turned and slightly shaken over a period of several weeks by skilled cellar masters, known as remueurs.
