Solid Oak Rail with Oak Pegs. We make these Coat Rails to order, they are all made in solid oak and come in Plain oak finished in clear lacquer. 5 pegs - 50cm etc. We have developed these Solid Oak versions of the coat rail, designed for those who like to have an extra touch of quality!

The solid wood coat rails are made in our workshop in Devon, each one is handcrafted by one of our craftsmen. We use planed timber, which we hand finish using a fine grade sand paper to leave a perfect smooth finish. They are finished in clear lacquer to protect them. We rout the back side so that they can hang onto the 2 routed key holes, this means there is no screws on show. We use a pillar drill to drill the holes for the pegs to go into, the pillar drill ensures when glued the pegs end up perfectly upright.

Next we fill the holes with glue and push the pegs in till the glue oozes up to ensure they are glued all round, we remove the excess with a damp cloth. Finally we spend a long time to ensure that your coat rail arrives in perfect condition every time by wrapping in numerous layers of protective packaging. Hangs simply from the wall using provided screws and plugs.
