Victorian Brass Wall Mounted Post Out Rack C1879 Made By William Tonks & Son

VICTORIAN BRASS WALL MOUNTED POST OUT RACK C1879 MADE BY WILLIAM TONKS & SON. Pre-owned this brass woven post out Letter rack is a lovely looking piece, ive classed this as wall mounted because of the hole , but i think it could also be used free standing, it hasn't been touched so is in need of cleaning, i tried a tiny spot to see if the black came off and it did leaving the brass showing , i haven't tried to clean the rest as i was told this may affect the value. There isn't any breakage to the weaving just slightly miss shapen.

The back is stamped W. T & S with their symbol mark , it is also stamped with the kite diamond mark showing when it was made. Approx size 24cm long x 20.5cm high at the back to the top of the post out sign, 14.5cm high at the front x 8.5cm wide at the sides.
